French Silk Chocolate Pie
1 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
4 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
2 tsp. vanilla
1 nine-inch baked and cooled pie shell*
Whipped cream for garnish
- Beat the butter with the sugar until it is very well blended, smooth, fluffy and pale yellow.
- Blend in the chocolate and the vanilla.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, taking five minutes to incorporate each and using the electric mixer at medium speed.
- Turn the mixture into the pie shell and chill several hours. Decorate with whipped cream before serving.
