Chocolate Chess Pie

Makes one pie, serves 8

Pre-heat oven to 325° F.

1 unbaked pie shell*

2 eggs

1 cup sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

1 stick (1/4 pound/125g) butter

1½  squares unsweetened chocolate

Whipped cream (optional)

  1. Beat together eggs and sugar, then add vanilla.  
  2. Melt butter and chocolate; add to mixture.  Mix well.  
  3. Pour in unbaked shell.,
  4. Bake 35 minutes.  Top with whipped cream.
